What to Expect

What to Expect on Sunday

When you are visiting any church for the first time, the unknown factors can make you a little nervous. We do not want unanswered questions to cause you needless anxiety so we have attempted to provide answers to some common questions such as: Where do I go? What time do I show up? What’s here for my kids? What do I wear? What can I expect?

We want to put you at ease. You may find the following information to be helpful as you plan for your visit.

Sunday School starts at 9 a.m. and we have classes grouped by age for children preschool through the 12th grade. We have several adult Sunday School classes that you may choose to attend. Most of our classes are held inside of our fellowship hall. If you would like information about specific classes, you may fill out our online contact form below.

The morning worship service begins at 10 a.m in the main sanctuary. You may choose to have your children remain with you for the entire worship service or after our worship in music, children ages 4-8 are invited to attend children's church, where they will have a short lesson and activity just for them. We also have a cry room at the back of our sanctuary with a viewing window and intercom so that you may still hear the service, if needed.

Our Sunday evening  begins at 5 p.m. with discipleship classes in the fellowship hall and our evening worship begins at 6 p.m in the main sanctuary.

There is not a strict dress code for our members or guests. In case you are wondering, our ministry leaders and many of our church members dress in a more traditional “Sunday-Best” style of dress. Typically the men wear a nice dress shirt with or without a neck tie and a pair of nice dress slacks. The women wear modest apparel appropriate for worship in God’s house. However, our main goal is that you feel welcome and comfortable for your visit.

Our traditional worship services usually last about an hour and include:

Every service gives you an opportunity to join us in singing hymns and spiritual songs as a congregation.

We are a church that believes in prayer. Throughout the service, prayers are led by different men who are members of the church. Some of these prayers deal with the needs and requests of our church family and friends, while others simply praise and thank God for His goodness and faithfulness.

Special Music

At many of our worship services you will be blessed to hear beautiful music presented by our pianist, our choir, various singing groups and soloists.

We consider the preaching and teaching of the Word of God to be the most important time of the service. We believe that the best help you can get comes from the instruction you receive from the Word of God.

At the end of the message, Bro. Gene Lee will ask everyone to stand and will give an invitation. This is a time for many to respond and make a life-changing decision by walking down the aisle and praying at the altar. A decision may be to trust Jesus Christ as personal Saviour or to become a better Christian. Whatever your decision may be, the altar is open to you to come forward with others that will make decisions.

What to Expect on Wednesday

Our Wednesday night prayer meeting & children's classes are held in the fellowship hall.

Our Wednesday Prayer meeting is more casual than Sundays. You may come in comfortable attire that would be appropriate for gathering together with others.

Our adult prayer meeting is done in a round table style. Everyone is welcomed to add new prayer requests or add updates on previous requests. Then we join hands for individuals to lift these prayers up to the Lord. After the last prayer has been said, we sing to the Lord in worship.

We have separate classes for our school aged children and youth with lessons, activities and games.

We Invite You To Come Visit Us!!!
