About Mission:Dignity

Serving Those Who Serve The Lord®

They call it Dignity. We call it a Mission.

Since 1918, GuideStone Financial Resources has been on a “Mission” to provide “Dignity” to retired Southern Baptist ministers, workers and their widows. These are men and women who have faithfully served God’s people and now find themselves struggling to meet even basic needs. Many served small, rural churches that paid only modest salaries and couldn’t afford to contribute to their pastors’ retirement. Often, these loyal soldiers of the cross had to work extra jobs just to make ends meet.

Mission:Dignity currently helps almost 1,800 people with extra money needed for housing, food and vital medications. It has also ensured a well-deserved dignity, independence and, often, the ability to continue serving.

All gifts to Mission:Dignity go to help those in need with nothing taken out for administrative expenses and are tax-deductible to the maximum amount allowed by law.

We will have a video and a special offering for Mission:Dignity on August 20th & 27th

French Fellowship

Fall Food Roundup

Participate in the
2017 Annual Fall Food Roundup
August – October

Louisiana Baptist Churches have provided non-perishable groceries, paper products, and cleaning supplies through our annual Fall Food Roundup since the early 1900's. In just 4 weeks, LBCH cottage dads and staff drive across the state, stop at about 450 church collection points, and pick up about twenty U-Haul truck loads of items. God works through these cooperative efforts to provide the non-perishable food needs for your Louisiana Baptist Children's Home for an entire year! Money received from the Roundup is used to purchase milk, bread, eggs, meat, and fresh produce needed throughout the year.

Donations may be dropped off in the Fellowship Hall or given directly to Carol Lagrange

What an amazing week of VBS!

2017 Galactic Starveyors Vacation Bible school was amazing! We had 90 kids registered with an average attendance of 68!

Thank you for allowing us the pleasure of teaching your children some amazing truths!

Each one of the kids focused their telescopes on the marvels painted in the sky by the Creator, they  discovered the wonder among all wonders - that the God who created everything there is - the knowable and the unknowable, the visible and the invisible - wanted a personal relationship with them!

Camp Fuego was AWESOME!!

Our youth attended Camp Fuego at The Acadian Baptist Center during week 4, July 3-7. The theme this year was UNSEEN.

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
